October 2006 Volunteer Monitoring Training

The second ever joint training session of the Oklahoma Water Watch and Blue Thumb was conducted in the Grand Lake area in October 2006.  We had several new volunteers and were delighted that all but 2 decided to volunteer for both programs!  Indoor activities (presentations and water analysis) were held at the Grand Lake Association Visitor Center.  Water Watch field demonstrations took place in boats provided by GRDA, launched from the Cherokee Queen boat docks.  Blue Thumb filed demonstrations took place on Honey Creek.
