Whole Soil Profile Workshops

We are educating local officials, agency employees, area installers, developers, teachers, etc. about the benefit of using a whole soil profile evaluation rather than a perc test to evaluate the suitability of septic system installation.  These 1-2 day workshops contain classroom presentation on the basics of soil science and the whole soil profile evaluation, a field investigation of soils and their evaluation, and an introduction to how to obtain information about soil resources with digital soil surveys completed by the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
